Most small model rocket motors are single-use engines, with cardboard bodies and lightweight molded ceramic nozzles, ranging in impulse class from fractional A to E. These motors are tested and certified by the National Association of Rocketry, The motors come in standardized sizes: 1/2A, A, B, C, D and E. The diameter of each size is fractional A 13 and 18 mm; A, B and C 18 mm; and C, D and E 24mm.
