Tamiya have over 30 years of design experience in the radio controlled car market. Their tried and tested style of diagramatic instruction booklet, backed up by scale drawings and written text give an excellent starting point in radio controlled car building. Parts are packed according to the order in which they are used, and electrical components are designed as plug n' play. No Soldering required. Most projects take approximately 4-5 hours, and are absorbing and educational.

All kits come excluding the Radio Control set, battery and chargers, so these need to be purchased as an add-on, or if you've already had a car of this type just transfer the radio across. We generally recommend Tamiya Polycarbonate Spray Paints, which give an excellent finish, these can be purchased separately, so as to give a choice of colours.

Tamiya presents its??latest radio-controlled monster truck: the Twin Detonator. The chassis adopts a sturdy gear-train mechanism, and firmly holds the gearboxes on both sides with a semi-monocoque frame. This arrangement guarantees stability on even the toughest of terrain, and allows easy access and maintenance of gearbox without disassembly. With the battery located in the middle of the chassis, and a motor at both the front and rear, the chassis is perfectly balanced for rough riding. Mechanical 3-speed controller and two Type 540 motors included.

Requires ADPO1 Radio and slow charger or ADPO2 Radio and quick charger packages to complete.

Overall length 431mm,??width 310mm,??height 243mm. Polycarbonate body equipped with a metal-plated roll bar. Front and rear gearboxes are pre-assembled. Gearboxes can be removed from chassis for maintenance without having to disassemble the rest of the chassis. Features 4 independent double wishbone suspensions with large diameter monster truck tires. Mechanical 3-speed controller and two Type 540 motors included.
