Most ready to go radio control vehicles operate on either 27MHz or 40Mhz frequency control units. If you wish to race ensure that the models have differing frequencies. 1:24 scale models are great for indoors, 1:43 scale usually ideal for table top or smooth flooring. 1:18 and larger models have more ground clearance and therefore a better capability outdoors. 1:12, 1:10 and up can be terrific fun, handling rough ground with confidence.

The quality of all the models we list is good. All have at least a three month warranty and service is available - usually via a service centre. With most rtg models the radio control unit is integral and cannot be used in other models. The big advantage is that no building is required and once batteries are charged the model is immediately underway.
