Pull and electric starters have revolutionised petrol and nitro powered model cars, trucks and buggies. With starting much easier, nitro is the preferred power for high performance models, the better torque and brilliant acceleration is a real `blast'. More maintenance is necessary than with electric powered models and so nitro is only suitable for ages mid/late teens and up. Read the Antics help sheet before starting.

Most nitro engines employ a glow plug, which must be heated with a battery powered `glow start', to make starting easy. Many of our deals include the starting pack but check the description to be sure.

Drive Safely! We recommend the fitting of a failsafe device, product 5299008, to prevent these high powered cars running away if radio signal is lost, or receiver batteries run low. A small price to pay for peace of mind.

HPI Racing's biggest truck ever, the powerful 1/8 scale Savage 21 which takes the giant nitro truck class to a new level of performance is a completely new design. Bigger even than the Tmaxx, it's factory assembled and ready for unbelievably high performance right out of the box. Recommended fuel, Irvine 20 glow fuel or Sidewinder 20%. Not for the faint hearted the Savage is supplied with a factory fitted radio.

The Savage 21 is not a small truck with a "big block conversion, it was designed from the outset to be able to handle the massive horsepower generated by the Nitro Star 21BB engine. The suspension arms are HUGE, and the dogbones and hinge pins are nearly twice as thick as the ones found on the Rush truck. The heavy-duty drivetrain is built tough, incorporating an adjustable slipper clutch, a complete set of rubber sealed ball bearings, metal gears and hardened components in the critical areas. A durable shaft drive system powers all four wheels for long tyre life and maximum traction on any surface.
