Pull and electric starters have revolutionised petrol and nitro powered model cars, trucks and buggies. With starting much easier, nitro is the preferred power for high performance models, the better torque and brilliant acceleration is a real `blast'. More maintenance is necessary than with electric powered models and so nitro is only suitable for ages mid/late teens and up. Read the Antics help sheet before starting.

Most nitro engines employ a glow plug, which must be heated with a battery powered `glow start', to make starting easy. Many of our deals include the starting pack but check the description to be sure.

Drive Safely! We recommend the fitting of a failsafe device, product 5299008, to prevent these high powered cars running away if radio signal is lost, or receiver batteries run low. A small price to pay for peace of mind.

The best-selling Traxxas T-Maxx® is well known for it's amazing drive anywhere capability and incredibly plush, 8-shock suspension. The T-Maxx 2.5R adds a higher level of power and refinement with the TRX 2.5R Racing Engine, proven Revo-spec driveline, and the new OptiDrive®-equipped transmission.

The T-Maxx 2.5R is made to handle even more of the off-road pounding that made T-Maxx a legend. It starts with a thicker 4mm 6061-T6 aluminum chassis that reduces flex. The TRX 2.5R is equipped with an oversized finned aluminum cooling head to dissipate more heat under grueling off-road conditions. The entire driveline has been upgraded to Revo® specification with super-duty sealed driveshafts, Revo axle carriers with large rubber sealed bearings, and sealed pivot balls. Seals keep out the dirt for longer component life and smoother running. The differential housings, engine mount, bulkheads, shock towers, and body posts have all been strengthened to help take the abuse we know you will put it through. The all-new low profile 3.8" Maxx™ chevron tires come pre-glued to beautiful satin-finish Split-Spoke wheels. The "shaved" Maxx chevron pattern is the ultimate "muscletire" for an off-road monster.
