In 1863 Mr.Sigismund Pollitzer and Mr John Beck established a general carrier and warehousing partnership at Upper Thames Street in London.Beck and Pollitzer is now one of Europe's leading services contractors specialising in the installation and relocation of industrial plant and machinery, with 15 locations throughout the UK and Europe. In 2005 the Mayor of London awarded Beck and Pollitzer the contract to transport the Christmas tree from the port of Immingham to Trafalger Square and to carry out the off loading and erection.
