Tamiya presents the 2004 Subaru Impreza to the XBG series. This fantastic fully assembled and fully painted engine car combines the style and aggressive appearance of the 2004 Subaru Impreza with the powerful Tamiya TGS-R chassis.

Introducing the all-new XBG chassis, the TGS-R! More power, better weight distribution and all-round improved performance, the TGS-R is perfect for XBG drivers wanting to make that next step. Combined with the super sports car Carrera GT body, this baby is going to fly. FS-12SS engine of the TGS has been replaced by the more powerful FS-12SW, as featured in the TG10. Not only providing more power, the FS-12SW engine is as easy to use as the FS-12SS, ensuring the TGS-R retains the crucial ease-of-use factor that comes with the image of a ready-to-run chassis. Standard gear has been upgraded to the Speed-Tuned Gear, previously an option part for the TGS chassis, providing a gear ratio of 8.67:1 (TGS has a 10.4:1 ratio). Full bearings and oil dampers ensure that despite this extra speed, the TGS-R also features improved running performance and stability.

The TGS chassis employs a resin monocoque frame with aluminum die-cast power train deck. The underside of the power train deck features air intake leading to engine fan for proper air diffusion. ACS (Active Cooling System) is effective in the prevention of engine over-heating. R/C electronics are encased in a special box for protection. The TGS chassis is equipped with a high-performance FS-12SS engine (2.11cc) that boasts superior air-intake and powerful running. The TGS chassis also features 4-wheel double wishbone suspension to realize excellent road-holding. Shaft driven 4WD affords high reliability. Front and rear gear cases are both high-precision and tightly shut for smooth-running differential gears.

Requires 12 AA batteries for the radio, one C size battery for the glow heater & fuel to run this car.

The Xanavi Nismo GT-R, which is racing in the Japan GT Championship (JGTC) enters the R/C Car Series. This model is based on the TGS chassis (1/10 scale pre-assembled engine car chassis). Employs FS-12SS Engine. Equipped with a realistic 0.8mm thick polycarbonate body which comes pre-painted with stickers pre-applied. Expec 2-channel R/C system included.
